This Website is intended to give you an insight into the most common watches used by the military, special forces, Police and Security forces.
The watches on this site are all watches which your are likely to come across. We have basically only scratched the surface based on our knowledge as collectors and frankly there is such a vast range of models found all over the world its hard to cover everything. For example I was in South Africa some time back and found a Rhodesian Roamer W10 from the 1970's which was interesting, until then I knew nothing about this watch. If you are keen to start collecting I recommend an excellent book by Ziggy Wesolowski - see this link. This book contains information regarding all the well know manufacturers including those referred to here such as Omega, Rolex, IWC, CWC, MWC, Smith, Breitling, Omega and many more. Currently I think this is about the best guide there is to military watches in general and until such time as another book is published this is the one to go with.
In our opinion this is a excellent book that gives a general overview of military timepieces from 1880 till 1990. Short and illustrative descriptions of particular watches, with clear photographs. Although this book does not cover all military timepieces, and the descriptive text could be more elaborate, I would recommend this book to anyone that has an interest in military timepieces from a collector's point of view.
